Seasonal Upkeep and Sanitation: Strip away all dead vines and dried foliage at season’s end. Spray metal grids, wooden supports, and synthetic netting with a ten percent household bleach solution to eliminate overwintering fungal spores like early blight and powdery mildew.
Longevity and Storage: Seal untreated wood components with food-safe sealers containing beeswax or natural linseed oil to resist moisture damage and wood rot. Sand rusted spots on metal T-posts and apply exterior rust-inhibiting primer. Store synthetic netting, jute twine, and fabric fruit slings indoors inside sealed storage containers during winter freezing cycles.
