10 Laundry Hacks You’ll Wish You Knew Sooner

2. Magic wand for laundry: vinegar

White clothes are nice to wear until you have to wash them! Your laundry will be whiter, brighter, fresher, and softer when you use vinegar in place of harsh chemicals. Vinegar can be used in both ordinary and high-efficiency washers and is cheap and secure. However, if this is your first time using vinegar, only buy distilled white vinegar.

It doesn’t include tannins, which are organic plant colors that can stain clothing. If all you have is cider vinegar, use less and dilute it with water before applying it directly to clothing.

3. Keep socks from disappearing

Everyone has experienced the frustration of not being able to find their pair of socks after getting them out of the washing machine. Where did they disappear? That is indeed a very good question! Put socks in a mesh bag as a laundry hack if losing socks, especially little children’s socks, is a problem in your household.

Socks are less likely to get lost in the wash if they are placed in delicate bags, which are good for stockings or bras. In order to gather socks as soon as they fall off, clip a mesh bag directly onto each person’s hamper.
