Unsuitable Drainage System

Kitchen designs with inadequate drainage systems often build up a peculiar and foul smell without the homeowners knowing about it. The impure water keeps blocking your drain pipes and rotting more than usual, requiring more careful preventive measures on your part.

But you don’t have to call a plumber immediately. Try this first:

How To Solve This: Some easy ways to help you take care of this situation include: Try using drain guards and drain cleaners, boiling water, and baking soda or lemon juice regularly.

These will not only help you clear up any impurities in your drain, but they will also help in keeping your kitchen area smelling fresh.

What about UNDER the sink for trash and recycling? I designed kitchens for years, and the space under the sink is not desirable for food or appliance storage, so use it for trash and garbage. As usual, my sink has two doors beneath it. I mounted a bin to the inside of one door to hold a trash bag, and a pull-out bin behind the other door for recycling.
