11. Faucets 

I don’t know about you, but every time I go to a restaurant or to someone’s house and I notice that they have golden faucets, I tend to believe that those cost a fortune.

If you want to make your home look more expensive, you can replace your bathroom faucets with golden ones. If the walls in your bathroom are plain and simple, things are even better because it’ll bring out the “expensiveness” of the faucets.

The same rule applies to high-end jewelry stores as well. The objects that have a lot of details, such as diamonds and gold, are usually displayed on simple and neutral backgrounds to make the jewelry piece stand out more.
