1. Install window boxes

One of the easiest ways to add curb appeal to your home is to install window boxes. This is a quick and simple way to add color and beauty to your home. If you want to add a classic appearance, you can go for iron or copper boxes.

For instance, the metal window box from Better Homes & Gardens, which you can find for less than $20 at Walmart, has a lattice feature that gives the display texture, and it looks gorgeous. If you’re into a more romantic look and you want to give your home a cottage feel, go for painted wood. You can then combine and match plants and flowers based on the color palette of your house.

2. Add a seating

Another amazing way to add curb appeal to your home and make it look more welcoming is to add porch furniture. To prevent damage to your surface, you should check out seating with skids. There are many options on the market, and Walmart has a great selection of furniture.

You can take it a step further and make the area look cozy and inviting by adding throw pillows, rugs, and end tables. If you like to have fun on a rocking chair and you’re also blessed with the space, invest in one or two (I love this one from Amazon), and your porch will look like the terrace of a fancy hotel.

If that’s not possible, you can add a few small chairs or a bench where you can also slip off dirty shoes. This cozy and comfortable seating area on your porch will make you happy in the morning when you drink your coffee outside. It’s a great place to have dinner, engage with your dear neighbors, and get involved in some funny street-side activities. Keep reading to discover other easy ways to add curb appeal to your home!

3. What about art?

One of the most impactful ways to add curb appeal to your home is to add a few art pieces to your garden. It will make the biggest difference, and if you’re into art, your days will be a lot better.

I love weather-resistant artwork that also complements my home’s exterior elements and natural palettes, such as sculptures, birdbaths, wind chimes, and metal cutouts. These items will look incredible in your garden, and they will make even the gloomiest day happier.

3. Replace your old hardware

A wall-mounted mailbox, house numbers, an entry door lockset, and a light fixture are only a few items that can add curb appeal to your home. If you’re looking for easy ways to add flair and intrigue, look no further.

Your hardware might still be functioning, but if it’s looking old and rusty, it might not create your desired effect. To quickly change the appearance of your home and make it look nicer and more presentable, all you have to do is replace your old hardware. Designers say that traditional homes look best with oil-bronze finishes, while more modern homes are better with brushed nickel finishes.

4. Paint your front door

Who said that you need to spend an entire weekend to add curb appeal to your home? All you need to do is block a couple of hours in your calendar, roll up your sleeves, and get to work.

The front entrance of your house is the one that can become a show-stopper and is the last thing you see before coming inside. You want it to make a big impression, but you don’t need to get crazy with it either. A fresh coat of paint or installing a simple but gorgeous custom wood door will be just enough to get the desired effect.

Use metal polish on the door fixtures and clean the area surrounding the knob to remove any debris, so that everything is nice and shiny. When you’re done with that, pick a wreath, swag, or flag that expresses your style so that your entryway also reflects the interior of the house. Ta-da!

5. Add outdoor lighting

Another easy way to add curb appeal to your home is by adding outdoor lighting. These will make your home look ethereal and surreal, and they will make even the darkest nights happy. Besides adding a touch of magic to your home, these outdoor lights are also great because they offer security and safety.

You can illuminate a pedestrian route, trees, or a house with accent lights, and the result will be amazing. You can use a range of fixtures and lighting styles for optimal landscape lighting, or install solar fixtures if wiring isn’t an option for you. There are lots of patio lights available in-store, so make sure to check them out because you’ll love the effect.

6. Add some symmetry

Symmetry is very pleasing to the eye, and it makes everything look stylish and beautiful. Is a look that is quite easy to arrange, and if you want to add curb appeal to your home, you can easily add a few accents to it.

Front door decorations and symmetrical light fixture arrangements look amazing and can create a hospitable entryway. You can purchase two light fixtures of the same kind, for instance, and add them to each side of your freshly painted door. For instance, I love the lantern-style sconces that work in tandem with the urns and door hardware.

7. Renew your planter beds

Another way to add curb appeal to your home is to renew those planter beds. Start by pruning growth, removing weeds, and then adding some gorgeous flowers to make them look colorful and pretty. If you want to take it a step further and bring back color lost due to sun exposure and weather, add fresh mulch.

If your bed is surrounded by stone or brick and it doesn’t look as good as it used to when it was new, you can quickly clean it and realign any dirty or loose pieces. Another thing you can do is upgrade to stone or a beautiful cast-concrete edging system, especially if you want to give it a contemporary appearance. These projects can easily be done in a few hours or less, so roll up your sleeves and give your home the makeover it deserves!
