2. Nicotiana (Also known as tobacco plant)

If you’re looking for a cute plant whose seeds you can still sow in the summer, Nicotiana should be among your favorites. One of the most popular summer bedding plants, the tobacco plant is perfect for small and sunny gardens. Since it loves soaking up the sun all day long, you must provide it with well-drained soil and a lot of daylight.

But be careful because there are two types of Nicotiana: Nicotiana alata loves the sun, while the taller types might bend if they get too much sun without a bit of shade. Besides being cute looking, these flowers are also easy to maintain and will protect young seedlings from bugs and snails.
