Kitchen trend #4: Social Island!

If there is one kitchen trend that has been steady over the years, it is the kitchen island one. Not only is it one of the big interior design pieces that architects swear by when it comes to getting your house sold faster, it is also one of the most worthwhile investments when it comes to redecorating your kitchen.

People love kitchen islands, and while a few years back it was one of those features that were there for decorative purposes only, now it has both a social component and, if you have enough space, an organizational and storage component as well. The big change to this kitchen trend is the way in which islands are now going to be designed to be able to seat more people as they are a centralized feature of your space.

This will help with both getting people closer while you are in the kitchen, be it if you just want to socialize or you are cooking together, and it will also help you to make the most of all the space in your kitchen as it can double as an eating space. What’s more, you can also incorporate more storage options into the island, which will definitely make the most of your space!
