Avoid Water: Do NOT Clean These 9 Items With It

#5 Gas burners

Whatever you do, make sure you do not put water on the burners, especially if you have a gas range cooker. Next to the gas range, there are the igniters, and those are very sensitive when it comes to liquid. Not only will they no longer create the spark needed to turn on the stove, but they will also be thrown off balance and not turn off after the range is turned on. They will keep going off and clicking over and over again.

Once the igniter is dry, the issue will basically solve itself, but it’s better to avoid it happening in the first place. After all, too much water during the cleaning process can end up permanently damaging your igniters, and there’s no way you will be able to change those. Instead, clean the stove with the appropriate cleaners and then wipe it down; never spray the cleaning solution into the gas range burners! Too much liquid of any kind creates the same problems.
