6 Cheap Paint Colors That Lower Your House Value

Moss green

Generally, green is supposed to be a relaxing, soothing color. However, we’d strongly recommend you avoid sage and moss green shades, as we also added them to the ‘cheap’ paint colors list. As with brown shades, there is something about earthy tones that just makes a space feel too “dirty”, as crazy as it might sound.

Besides, it might make the room feel much smaller than it is. Instead, you could use muted and pastel greens, which would work much better. They will bring some life to your room and add a bit of tranquility.

Deep Purple

We know that soft, pastel tones can be very soothing, but that’s not the case for vivid purple, which is famously known as an overstimulating color. It is also believed that deep purple comes with more creativity, and I wonder if that’s one of the reasons why we would rather take this color in a home office setting rather than our bedroom.

I know that creativity in the bedroom is highly encouraged, but not like this. You know what I mean. Worse than that, some even say that purple brings vivid dreams and nightmares. Those are enough reasons to put deep purple on the list of ‘cheap’ paint colors. Are you looking for a nice pastel shade? Because I want to share with you two of my favorite choices: Prestige Muted Berry and Prestige Lilac Blossom. I would genuinely swim in this color, that’s how much I like it!
