Easy Butterfly Feeder
This DIY butterfly feeder is manageable for kids to make and looks fantastic hanging from a tree. All you need is a few basic materials, and you’re ready to do some butterfly-watching. It’s a great way for kids to learn about nature.
What You’ll Need:
Plastic plant saucer
String
Hole puncher
Fruit
Directions:
- Start with a plastic plant saucer. Bigger is better if kids are involved. Punch some holes in the rim and attach the string. We recommend you also punch a few holes in the bottom to drain excess rainwater.
- To decorate your feeder, string some beads onto the string. Be sure you wrap a piece of tape around the end to avoid fraying. You can also use some wire if you don’t have any string around.
- Cut up some fruit for your DIY butterfly feeder.
- Hang it in your yard or garden and wait for the butterflies to come!
