Want to Sell Your Home? DON’T Tell Your Listing Agent These 7 Things!

Captain Honesty, listen: if you want to sell your house, never mention that you have a ton of debt. If anything, you will get a lower offer than expected, especially if buyers want to take advantage of you. It would be much better not to tell the listing agents if you’re selling, especially if you lost your job or encountered other financial hardship.

Don’t mention that you’re suffering from a serious illness.

Like many other catastrophes that would require your homeowners to move out as fast as possible, it’s probably in the seller’s best interest to keep the news of a serious illness from potential buyers.

Let’s say a listing agent is actually sensitive to your situation and decides to prioritize selling your home. The urgency to sell will be immediately spotted by potential buyers. Also, when it comes to signing a listing agreement, don’t mention a shorter contract term, even if you’re in a pretty urgent situation.
