Basil is amazing to have on hand in your kitchen and can also be used as a bug repellent. Bugs are pushed away by the strong aroma that basil leaves emanate. This herb prefers to stay humid, requires adequate drainage, and benefits from a lot of sunlight. If both plants fit the same needs, you can grow them in a container, a garden, or both, alone or in combination with other flowers.
