Opt for simplicity and pale colors

Always use small or foldable chairs, clean lines, and glass partitions that will define and widen your space without taking too much of your natural light.

Floor-to-ceiling curtains may make a small and cramped apartment feel bigger and the ceilings appear higher. You can opt for translucent curtains or solar shades to let in light while concealing an unpleasant view or to discourage nosy neighbors from watching every step you take.
