Have you ever had the annoying feeling that something is missing from your home design? If so, it may be time for an update.

With all the content about the perfect house, new trends, and design choices, it’s hard not to feel the pressure to give your home a new face. We all want a beautiful, warm, and comfortable home, but starting a project as big as redesigning your home can get overwhelming.

If you are thinking of starting this project on your own, there are many aspects to which you should pay extra attention. The layering of lights, textures, and colors or paying attention to contrasts are some of the aspects experts advise we consider.

One thing is for sure: our house is unique, reflecting the beautiful diversity within all of us. You should always trust your gut, but you can also look at what experts recommend or, in this case, do not recommend and try to apply their advice to your own needs.

Avoiding mistakes is crucial, as it will help you save time and money. We have compiled the 10 most common mistakes people make when designing their homes to help you learn from others’ errors and, hopefully, make your life easier.
