#1 Keep that oven in tip-top shape

Let’s be honest: cleaning out the oven is not one of the chores we enjoy doing. After all, if you are an avid home cook or baker, or even if you just use it from time to time, there is bound to be grime and baked-on gunk that will be very difficult to get rid of. This is why you should give our baking soda DIY cleaning solution a try.

All you have to do is trust the chemical reaction between the substances and let it work its magic, as it will penetrate the dirt and leave your oven spotless with minimal effort. Mix 3/4 cup of the baking soda with 1/4 cup of warm water to get a gritty, paste-like solution.

Then spread it over the bottom of your oven and let it sit overnight. The following morning, you should remove it with a wet cloth and then spray the oven with a water-vinegar solution to get rid of any leftover paste. Nothing easier!

Just make sure to not do this if your oven is made of aluminum, and avoid spreading the paste on any aluminum parts!
