Trash Can
Just by the nature of this item in your house, you expect it to at times be dirty, as despite using a trash bag, liquids and other bits of foods can end up contaminating the trash can itself. Moreover, if your trash can has a lid, it can be a festering ground for mold, mildew, and bacteria. To avoid that, you should wipe the lid down with disinfecting wipes every time you take it out.
As for the trash can itself, you should give it a deep clean once a month to avoid vile smells and it being a potential bacteria festering ground. For this item, you can use a combination of at home cleaning and a cleaner that you can find at any store.
You can sprinkle some baking soda at the bottom of the bin and let it sit for about 10 minutes, so you can get rid of the smell. Afterward use your choice of an all-purpose cleaner to wipe it down and wash it, before letting it completely dry. If you add a trash bag immediately after washing, the remaining moisture can end up creating mold so be careful how you clean the bin.

I clean all of those everyday plus my wash machine. I always have cleaned my whole house daily at different time’s I have had up to 7 kid’s in my home so it was important to me to keep everything clean all the time.
These are great tips because we do not think about them until we get sick..Alcohol wipes should be in everyones Xmas stockings to sanitize those screens of the cell phones and remote controls /door knobs etc..
Faithfully, at the end of every month, I run my washing machine with a packet of Tide washing machine cleaner. Surprised this wasn’t included on the list.
