Fix sliding doors and drawers that get stuck
Like with the squeaky door hinges and floorboards earlier, there are ways to use a bar of soap around your home without having to resort to oil or changing a perfectly good item just because it is a bit annoying.
If you have any drawers or sliding doors that stick, a bar of soap can return them to their seamless glide in a matter of minutes. All you will have to do is rub some soap on the edges of the drawers or, in the case of doors, in the tracks to make them glide easier.
Make sure your soap is dry before doing this, and if, after you test the glide, it is not satisfactory yet improved, add more soap to the equation.
