#8 Spider takeover!
Let’s be honest, when you think of Halloween, there are a few signature things that come to mind, be they objects or animals, or even the representative colors of black and orange. And while we may like to carve pumpkins, we don’t want to have to waste so many of them to cover our porches. This is why you should give this Halloween-representative DIY pumpkin a try: It’s spooky enough to earn a place on your porch!
Materials:
- craft/styrofoam pumpkins
- paint (optional)
- hot glue & hot glue gun
- tiny plastic/fabric spiders
Instructions:
Depending on whether or not your jack o’ lanterns are already orange or any other color, you may have to paint them before you start with the task of gluing on all the spiders. You don’t have to stick with orange; you can even go green or beige or even a combination to make them seem as scary as possible!
After your pumpkin has your desired color, you can get to gluing (if doing this with kids, make sure they do not touch the hot glue). You can either fill the whole pumpkin, or you can just do part of it. Either way, it will create the spooky and hair-raising effect you desire!
We hope you’re not scared of crawly spiders!
And if you’re looking for more fun and easy DIYs to keep you busy this cold season, maybe you should look into repurposing those old curtains!
