2. There aren’t enough seats in the room

When it comes to furniture, the quantity, and variety of items, as well as their arrangement and scale, you have to be careful. According to designer Kendall Wilkinson, not having enough seating in your living room is a common decorating mistake that leads to a layout that isn’t actually effective for family or friends.

The designer suggests that you pick a few pieces to display around the room, such as a sofa, chaise lounge, or club chairs, in order to create a more inviting look.

What a good variety of ideas.
I hadn’t really realized I had a themed living room. I thought SW, but it’s more AmerIndian. Plans to change it out slightly.
The first 3 ideas are the ones I’ll be implementing first. I never think I have enough pillows. They and my artwork are the “color” in the living room. But, I’ve noticed my guests always moving them off of the furniture.
You hit on the things that I’ve been taking for granted/not noticing.
    Thank you.

I have never heard of scones lighting before. I am assuming you mean sconses. Found most everything interesting though.
