6 Plant-Destroying Habits You Should Stop Repeating

Attention: These are the worst plant-destroying habits you could have!

In junior high, I went with my mom to a grocery store, and I begged her to get me a teeny-tiny cactus to put on the window in our little kitchen. I was so excited about my plant that I even named him Juan.

My dad told me that my Juan cactus was going to teach me how to be responsible because he and my mother didn’t want to take care of him. He also told me that it was not going to be hard to deal with him because it was a plant that loved living indoors and didn’t need that much water or attention.

I believed him when he told me that it’s rather hard to destroy my cactus, but unfortunately, he was wrong; he didn’t know about my plant-destroying habit. And to be honest with you, I didn’t know about it either.

I watered Juan so much, particularly because the soil was dry and I wanted to breathe some life into it. My cactus died in less than 4 weeks, and I didn’t want any plants for a couple of years after that.

The cold truth is that there are some plant-destroying habits that many of us have, but we need to stop. You could destroy your beautiful plants in a snap if you don’t pay enough attention to them, or maybe too much, in my case. However, this is only another experience that will turn you into a pro over time, right?

If you made some mistakes in the past and you feel bad that you accumulated all sorts of plant-destroying habits over the years, this is your sign to stop! I’m going to share some tips with you so you won’t make the same mistakes again! Click on the next page, and let’s start!
