Tile flooring color trends:

Black tile floors

If you haven’t heard already, black is back!

While we know that black goes with everything, which makes it pretty much the perfect accent, especially in modern and Scandinavian styles, we never thought it would go back in style! And yet…it has because black is starting to become more and more popular among young homeowners.

As this choice is more common in those who prefer the modern style, black floor tiles oftentimes come in interesting and creative shapes, such as hexagons and trapezoids, rather than just the classic square grid.

And while we’re still talking about classic, let me just say that vintage black and white tiles are also making some kind of comeback.

Gray tile floors

If I would have written this article five years ago, gray tile floors wouldn’t be on this list.

Yet, not only is gray super trending right now, but I think it actually has great chances of becoming an all-time classic. Gray flooring, especially gray wood, has advanced a lot in the last decade. Gray has rapidly become the most popular trend, not just for flooring, but also for homes in general.

For example, gray cabinets, gray doors, whatever you could think of, are extremely in demand, especially when it comes to the kitchen. Gray tile floors are extremely cool, as they come with a neutral backdrop in decorating.
