Never show your home unless you are available.
The thought of various strangers entering your home scares you, and rightfully so. If you feel the urge to be present at every single open house and every show, that is understandable, but you should control it. Buyers might be a bit uncomfortable being in your presence every step of the way when they look at YOUR home.
Moreover, they could shy away from asking the questions they really want to ask, especially if you’re there, scanning their appearance. So if you feel this is something you are open to, allow your listing agent to show the home without you.
It’s much better to get lost whenever potential buyers become interested in your home. It could prevent you from feeling hurt and discomfort on the part of prospective buyers. You could run errands or go out with your friends at the drop of a hat next time your agent calls with a new potential buyer.
