7. Let there be light
Another great way to make the most of a small bathroom is to bring in as much natural light as possible. This is something you’ll definitely not regret.
You can do this with cleverly positioned skylights and glazing and by showcasing focal points with a mix of task and ambient lighting. Illuminate the surrounds of mirrors to draw attention around the room, back-light vanities and shelves with recessed LEDs to add a sense of depth, and, in powder rooms, create an eye-catching statement with a feature light.
A pair of wall-mounted sconce lights on either side of your vanity mirror can be aesthetically pleasing as well as practical. Another idea is to have can lights hanging around the room or a centered ceiling fixture to ignite the whole room.
