June
Main project: Bug control
Warmer weather signifies that it’s time to guard yourself and your family against fleas, mosquitoes, and ticks, which will keep you from enjoying your outdoor space.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that vector-borne illnesses carried by these pests have doubled in our country in the last few decades.
So be sure to check the exterior of your home for leaky pipes, pour out stagnant water from planters and pots, and talk to a pest professional for any tips and tricks.
Home maintenance checklist for June:
-Fill in any cracks in your concrete sidewalk, driveway, and patio. Use liquid filler or concrete caulk for smaller holes. For wider cracks, seal with a patching compound.
-Fix any rotting boards, holes, loose nails, or any other damage in your fence. Be sure to stain or paint it if required.
-Here’s the fun part: Stage your outdoor space with some simple decorations like potted plants or new patio chairs.
