Philodendron
Toxic Properties: Insoluble calcium oxalates
Symptoms Include: Intense burning, mucous membrane irritation, irritation of the mouth and lips, tongue, excessive vomiting, drooling, and a hard time swallowing.
Because of their lovely foliage and effortless care, philodendron is a considerable genus of tropical plants that is beloved amongst many indoor gardeners.
Popular versions of the philodendron include philodendron’Brasil, the heartleaf philodendron, and philodendron Micans, but there are many others as well. While all these varieties are harmless when touched, they’re highly toxic to cats and dogs if eaten.
So unfortunately, this is another example of indoor plants you should probably avoid if you have a dog.
