Add mirrors

Mirror, mirror on the wall—how should I design it all? One might wonder, right? Well, as we all know, mirrors add a bunch of light and depth to a room, but they can also reflect the views, expand the space, and work as a great hero piece in any room. Besides, they are incredibly practical. If you ask me, they’re an awesome investment.

Get the lighting right

Mirrors are important, but you won’t achieve anything without proper lighting. When you decide on the right pendant and chandelier to hang above that luxurious dining table, you should go for a fitting that’s between half and two-thirds of the width of the table.

This way, you’ll make sure that everything is in the right proportions. The same rule might apply to long, slim light fittings. If you keep the same half-to-two-thirds ratio and apply it to the table’s length, the light fitting will be one of the most harmonious parts of the room.
