6. Your lights flicker
If you have guests over and you want to impress them with an impromptu disco party, flickering lights might be a good way to set the mood. But if there’s no party, your flickering lights could actually hide a problem.
Don’t enter panic mode until you know for sure what the issue is. Check your light bulb to see if it stays in place in the fixture, because one of the reasons it flickers is due to being loose. You can also change it with a new bulb and see if the flickering is gone or not (here are some affordable and energy-efficient light bulbs).
If this annoying problem continues or if there are multiple light bulbs that keep flickering, it might be a sign that there are some loose wires along your circuit or that the wires in your home aren’t the right ones for how much electricity your household uses.
Don’t try to solve this problem all by yourself; call an electrician to take care of it for you because they know better when it comes to wires and circuits.
