7. Add Interest and Texture With Exotic Finds

Again, there are no rules when it comes to what you should hang on your walls. Apart from situations where there are kids in the house (so you can’t add just ANYTHING to the decor), feel free to express yourself.

Anyway, the main idea is that you can play with the options you have, texture included. For example, smooth walls can look lovely with tactile items displayed as a gallery wall, especially if you have a white wall.

Experiment with anything from feather placemats or African baskets to woven discs or quirky hats; combined over a piece of furniture, they can create a unique statement.
