What’s great about gallery walls is that there aren’t too many rules you have to follow. Basically, you just have to let your creativity flow. The pieces you choose to hang on the wall don’t have to be in perfect shape or brand new.
For example, you can mix vertical and horizontal pieces to give your wall an artistic look. Create your own collection of a couple of prints or photos, then lay them on the floor. This will allow you to see the result before having everything hung on the wall.
You may not even have to align the top and bottom of the rows or the column. However, the thing you may want to consider is keeping the space between each frame consistent. This will add a feeling of cohesion and playfulness at the same time.
