2. Kitchen hoods in stainless steel
The stainless steel kitchen hood is prevalent in many houses. They are awesome because they provide proper ventilation throughout the kitchen, keeping it clean and fresh despite the fact that you cooked for three hours straight. But this is one design trend that has begun to fade, especially in the past few years, and all home designers are eager to see it gone forever.
Other than having this property of keeping all the odors at bay, these stainless steel hoods look a bit dated, and they don’t match that well with warm colors like orange, yellow, or light pink. So, I guess after 2022 ends, it’s time to say goodbye to these ugly features from our kitchen space.

Thanks for these tips. Considering opening the kitchen into our TV room somehow or with a “Bar” peninsula in between but appreciate the thoughts on the kitchen smells. Also I put white/gray subway tile surround in our new 7 foot tub master bath and shower and love it and the kitchen remodel is next….I see the subway tiles as kitchen backsplashes in a lot of my HOME magazines…curious to think that will look dated! 🙂 Thanks again!
Oh, really? What will you replace this with? Or will you just have bottled gas stoves and ovens send out all kinds of deadly fumes?
