8. Use it as a closet
We just stated multiple times that your attic should be more than just a regular storage space, but in case it’s too small to transform it into a functional room, you can always use it as a closet. If you have a big family and you all have a lot of clothes, it might be a good option to move some of them here that you don’t use that often. Make a DIY closet with space for large coats but also a couple of drawers for smaller items.
Or if you want to use it just for yourself, add a splash of crisp white paint on the walls, buy a stool, and that’s just about it! You’ll have a glamorous and fancy dressing room where you can add mirrors, a chair, and any other accessories to complete the look.
9. Make it a studio
If you’re lucky to have a big attic, don’t waste the opportunity to transform it into a studio. If the space allows, you can have a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. This feature will make your guests feel a bit more independent because they don’t need to go down to share the utilities with you. Furthermore, if you’re looking to make money, you can rent the space on Airbnb, especially if you live in a part of the country that is usually visited by a lot of tourists.
