Lawn Care Tip: Make Your Own Compost

It’s easy to make your own compost. And, as a bonus, it’s environmentally friendly, it’s good for your lawn, and saves you tons of cash!

You can just use vegetable scraps, grass clippings, and any other organic waste that you’d usually chuck into the bin to create compost you can use to fertilize your landscape and mulch around trees.

Create a composting area somewhere outdoors, or buy a small compost bin, generating up to 40 cubic feet of compost each year.

This could equal almost $200 saved annually since the compost sold in stores goes for an average of about $5 per cubic foot at nurseries and hardware stores.
