Dark grays

I believe there was a time when shades of gray were highly trending. In fact, I think Kim Kardashian still agrees with it, but not us and the “army” of designers we’ve asked. When it comes to decorating bedrooms and kitchens, you don’t want to go with dark grays, especially since they are also on the list of cheap paint colors worth avoiding.

They make you feel depressed, lonely, and isolated. On top of that, charcoal walls in the bedroom might prevent you from getting the good night’s sleep you need.

Off-white and eggshell

I know some people would gladly embrace neutrality, especially if we’re talking about off-white and eggshell walls. However, this might make your room seem lifeless and even flat. This is generally because it lacks the vividness we need from brilliant whites.

Even worse, they come with a yellow undertone. The lighting conditions in a room could make off-white tones look cheap, and if this didn’t convince you, I’ll tell you something that will: off-white could potentially set your house’s price back by over $4,000. Well, this definitely puts it on the cheap paint color list!
