Electrical Problems

If there have been no changes to the home in the last 30 years, be it remodeling or updating systems, then you may run into some electrical problems when the home inspection is being conducted. The requirements and standards for a safe-to-use electrical panel have changed, and they are harsher than ever. If the panel is one of the older models, you may run into several electrical issues.

These issues are at the top of the list when it comes to what inspectors are looking for, be it during a home inspection or if we are talking about insurance and the specific requirements of the mortgage lender.

The common issues you need to look for ahead of time and fix if needed are the fuse boxes, outdated panels, 2-prong outlets, and cloth and aluminum wiring! If you manage to fix these with a licensed electrician, you will be okay!
