Doorknobs and Light Switches

Without paying much attention to these tiny objects in our houses, we tend to end up forgetting that they are among some of the most touched and used objects in the house. That is how they end up being a contender for the dirtiest place in the home.

You should start adding them to your regular “cleaning the house” routine. We suggest wiping them down with a disinfectant to stop the spread of bacteria and germs, as well as removing any grime or dirt that can accumulate in time from always being touched. If you want to use something that is found in the house and you do not mind the smell, you can always use a small amount of vinegar to wipe them down.

Faithfully, at the end of every month, I run my washing machine with a packet of Tide washing machine cleaner. Surprised this wasn’t included on the list.
