Bright yellow

We know bright yellow is all about the sun and reflecting happiness, but yellow is yet another color that needs to be avoided, especially when it comes to your living room. As designers explained, a saturated bright yellow on your walls will only overstimulate your emotions, and no, not in a good way.

Bright yellow is definitely among the cheap paint colors, so why would you go for something that might leave you feeling overexcited, nervous, and even anxious? On top of that, bright yellow might distract you, taking your attention away from all the other elements in the room.

If you really love yellow and you want to see it in your living room, no problem: go for a focal point or accent wall. It’s much better this way.
