Top 10 Mistakes in Home Design You Should Know

8. Art hung too high or too low

 

Art hanging seems like an easy job. But often, we see pieces that are either too high or too low. Experts say there is no philosophy about this step in your home decor. You need to remember that art should be hung at eyesight level, so if a painting is meant to be admired while you sit on the couch, it should be placed lower than one you pass by in the hallway.

There are some exceptions. If you choose to make an accent wall with many frames, it doesn’t matter at what height you hang them. In this case, it is more about shapes and patterns.
