2. Not washing dishes after you use them

You just had a party, and now that all the guests have left, your kitchen sink looks like a terrible mess! A pile of dirty dishes left in the sink makes your space look bad, but if you are tired, you may be tempted to leave the cleaning for tomorrow morning.

However, this is one of the cleaning habits that do more harm than good. Leaving dirty dishes in the sink provides the ideal environment for bacterial growth and a gold mine for hungry insects. Instead, teach everyone in the home to either immediately wash the dishes or put them in the dishwasher.
