Choose multipurpose furniture

Let’s debunk the myth that small apartments are bad because, when decorated accordingly, they can also be super cozy and good-looking. That’s why one of the first rental upgrades on the list is to look out for multipurpose furniture. It will both save space and reduce the feeling of a crowded, cluttered space.

If you have the possibility, avoid putting your bed in the middle of the room. Try to squeeze it near the window or the wall. You can either choose a high-end Murphy bed that can be used both as a couch and a bed, or one that also has some space underneath to use the space for something else.

Another hack that’s amazing in a small space is to look for foldable dining tables. Unfold it when you have guests over or when you’re working from home, and unfold it when you no longer need it.
