13. Clean The Dryer Ducts

If your dryer doesn’t work properly anymore, it might be due to the buildup of dirt and grime. It’s really important to keep your ducts clean because besides not working the way it’s supposed to, your house might also have a higher risk of fire.

In order to clean your ducts, you have to move the dryer away from the wall, unplug it, cut off the ductwork, and vacuum out the ducts as much as you can, so they are nice and clear afterward.

14. Upgrade Your Hardware

It might not seem like such an important aspect, but if you want to quickly upgrade your home, you’ll need to change your hardware. The process is really simple and it won’t take up a lot of your day. Just choose some new cabinet pulls and doorknobs, then take a screwdriver and replace the old ones with the new ones.

If you install pulls on the doors that never had them before, the easiest thing you can do is to create a template so that you can be sure everything looks good in the end.
