5 Big Gardening Mistakes That Make Your Yard Seem Smaller!

Overclutter: You have too many items you do not use or are too old!

A lot of us tend to accumulate way too many things in our gardens. It doesn’t matter if we got them for a reason, are reusing some pieces, thrifted something, or are just accumulating things over time. This is not only going to stop you from being able to access your garden, but you can kiss goodbye to any type of gardening with a lot of things blocking your way. Not to mention that you are also very easily making your garden feel so much smaller than it actually is.

Think about your outdoor spaces as you do your indoor ones. You would not keep excess furniture, other trinkets, or even toys around if they would make your spaces too cluttered and busy, so you should also not let your yard become a hub for a ton of items you are no longer using. You should make sure you do not have too many outbuildings that do not serve a purpose (keeping your gardening tools and other maintenance items would be a great use for one), and you should make sure that all the garden furniture, games, and even toys you have around are all being used or stored properly.

Everything else will have to move, be it because they are too old and you are throwing them out, reselling them, or even just donating some! Going through all of your outdoor items will not only leave you with more space in your garden, but it will also make it look more spacious instead of cluttered and closed! And this goes for decks and patios as well, not just for the actual yard.
