6. Property Damage

When was the last time you checked your television, sound system, and other electric appliances? Well, here’s something you probably didn’t know: Cockroaches can get inside these appliances and deteriorate the wires with their feces. The result? You can end up spending some good cash on repair costs.

When they infest your house for a long time, they may also cause damage to other items like stationery and furniture. In other words, any insect damage to your property will reduce the overall value of your home in the long run. If you start noticing damage to materials around your house or there’s any trace of pests around your appliances, that’s a clear sign you’re dealing with an infestation.

The first thing that comes to anyone’s mind is spraying the place and cleaning it to remove everything that attracts the cockroaches. That’s definitely a good idea, but not an effective one, so make sure you fire a professional.
