#4 Deck or Patio

All landscape pros are never going to tell anyone that they should get rid of their patio or deck, no matter how much space it may be “taking up” in the yard. In all honesty, it is one of the features of a successful landscape, especially if you love to be able to spend some time in your garden to relax or if you love to have guests over. Having a patio or deck is a great way to both enjoy the fresh air and spend some time comfortably with friends and family.

Industry specialists shared that this is one of the biggest requests they get from clients when it comes to what they definitely want to be included in their landscape, and they also make sure to include one in most projects, especially when therr’s a lot of space to include one. It can be the starting point for connecting all your elements together in a cohesive way, and if you want to include some of the other elements we have discussed here, the deck or patio is the best way to do it!

Keep in mind that this feature is one of the most important, and the other ones, like the centerpiece, outdoor kitchen, pergola, fire pits, and even frills, should be something that you integrate together with the patio and your overall design, not just because they are in trend now and you think it will raise the value of your yard.
