Terra Cotta Pot Butterfly Feeder

Butterflies are lovely pollinators and add beautiful charm to a thriving garden. Generally, they’re attracted to bright, fragrant flowers and sweet scents. A DIY butterfly feeder is a fantastic way to attract and keep them around.

Your kids or grandkids will love chasing them around outside, and you can have a load of fun making and painting your butterfly feeder together.

What You’ll Need:
Brightly colored paints: Red, orange, yellow, pink, and purple attract butterflies best.
Paint brushes
Terra-cotta pot and saucer
Liquid Nails adhesive
Newspaper

Directions:

  1. First, ensure your terra-cotta surfaces are free of dust and dirt. Then, apply liquid nails to the base of your terra-cotta pot.
  2. Flip the pot over and attach it to the center of the bottom of the saucer. Place it somewhere safe and let the glue set overnight.
  3. Paint the pot and saucer while your DIY butterfly feeder is still upside down… This is your chance to get creative with the kiddos!
  4. Flip your feeder over and complete the top of the saucer. Have fun with different patterns and designs. Pro Tip: You can also use stencils to add some exciting ornaments.
