9 Best Indoor Plants to Kill Airborne Viruses and Bacteria

5. Chinese Evergreen

These days, Chinese evergreens are quite popular and can be used as single specimens to decorate a room or in mass to create a tropical effect. Furthermore, some varieties of the plant are widely used as medicinal plants.

Also known as Aglaonema, Chinese evergreen emits a lot of oxygen while purifying indoor spaces of toxins such as formaldehyde, benzene, and other harmful chemicals. As its name suggests, this houseplant does a great job of removing pollutants as well as airborne viruses and bacteria from the air, so get yourself one, and your lungs will thank you for that.

This plant does well in full shade, and the only thing you have to do is make sure the soil is slightly moist at all times.
