Mistake #6: Not Addressing Pests

If you go into your garden and see an abnormal spot or color on your leaves, it’s standard to simply wait and see what happens. But that mistake can make all of your gardening more challenging.

Pest infestations can skillfully multiply and infect all the other plants in your garden in a very short period. Occasionally, even a rookie gardener can spot that disease is growing on one of their plants. But they just let it be.

They either don’t know what to do or hope the problem will resolve itself. Well, we’re here to tell you that it’s a big mistake! Even if a few insects seem insignificant, it’s worth looking it up and preventing the situation from getting any worse.

If you happen to have a full-fledged infestation happening in your garden, you can usually find a way to resolve the issue.

It might even be something as simple as spreading some newspaper on the soil to disrupt the insect’s life cycle, covering your plant with some netting, or changing the way you water your plants.

But the main idea is that managing your pest problem is well within any beginner gardener’s capabilities.
