The carpeting!

Speaking of carpeting, if you have wall-to-wall carpet, then you are out of luck. Not only have designers strayed away from them when it comes to decorating homes in recent years, but they are also certified dirt magnets! And when you stop to ponder about it for a little bit, it makes a lot of sense. You cannot take them out for a thorough wash, and no matter how often you vacuum, you will end up wearing them down and leaving them dirty.

If you have such carpeting, replacing it is not always the way to go. After all, it could still be in great condition, and you would be wasting your money. However, you should make sure that alongside vacuuming you are also getting it professionally cleaned on a seasonal basis to make sure they are as dirt-free as possible!

And if you have to replace it anyway, consider smaller rugs that can be easily washed to stop having this headache!
