4. Vertical lines

Long subway tiles are a timeless bathroom fixture, so no one will fault you for wanting to install them. However, some interior designers are fond of essentially flipping that style a bit.

They predict that in 2023, vertical lines in flooring and furniture will become more popular. It’s an innovative twist on the usual fixtures seen in a bathroom. Besides that, it can make your room seem higher and more elevated, which is perfect for giving it a makeover without breaking the bank.

I like warm and natural colors. If we keep things too simplistic it looks sterile. Giving a feature wall in something natural is fine but don’t overwhelm a smaller sized room with too much color. A bathroom is to remain tranquil.

I certainly hope these are not indicative of the new bathroom styles. These are all too sterile and uninviting. They scream, “Don’t touch!” Can you imagine these same photos after everyone used the bathroom? Where does one store one’s things? Can you imagine children using these spaces, spilling water on the perfect floors, messing up the perfect counters, wet towels lying around, etc.? No thanks. Way too minimalist and cold for me – I prefer to live in a home, not a museum.
