5. Euphorbia Obesa

The Euphorbia Obesa, also known as the baseball plant, is a member of the genus Euphorbia and can grow up to 3 feet in height. Instead of leaves or trunks, this unusual plant has a thick, singular stem that’s perfectly spherical in young plants. Thus, it looks like a baseball.

This interesting plant is native to South Africa, but it’s unfortunately under threat of heavy poaching. Because of that, the government has come up with policies to prevent its extinction.

If you’re looking for unusual plants to have in your house, you should definitely get an Euphorbia Obesa. Its distinct shape, which immediately draws the eye, will undoubtedly be a focal point in the room. On top of that, this plant can be kept alive with minimal effort and is not difficult to care for.
