Boil Them In Your Coffee

This is fantastic for a couple of reasons. First, crushed eggshells will help keep the coffee grounds from boiling if you happen to be camping and you make coffee over a campfire on high heat.

This obviously isn’t a common problem unless you happen to be roughing it. But now you know how to avoid wasted coffee if the situation ever comes up. Second, if you add eggshells to coffee, you’ll have a less acidic cup.

You know that experience of overwhelming bitterness from a cup of cheap coffee or a pot that was brewed too long? Well, these bad boys are here to save the day! The powdered or finely broken-up shell of just a single egg is enough to make 4 cups of excellent coffee.

And if you happen to drin your coffee dairy-free, this is a great way to make sure you get some calcium with your brew.
